Navigation on a web site plays a very important role in making the site user friendly. As a rule of thumb, a web site should follow the “three click” model. This means that a visitor should be able to access any page on the site using three mouse clicks or less. Of course with a well design site including dynamic menus, breadcrumbs deep linking and the like, you can usually achieve that in one or two clicks.
